We are facing an obesity and chronic disease epidemic. In 2016, more than 1.9 billion adults, 18 years and older, were overweight. Of these over 650 million were obese (WHO, 2016). In Australia, diabetes is our fastest growing chronic health condition with 280 Australians being diagnosed every day. The costs associated with diabetes is approximately 1.7 billion dollars annually which included costs to the public and personal costs (i.e. loss of income, medication, medical procedures etc.).
We know that changing our lifestyle is the single most powerful thing we can to do improve our health yet so many of us fail to stick with our lifestyle change. Why? Why do we pick the pain of our broken bodies over the temporary pain of changing our lifestyle? It is really a perplexing question that many of us struggle to figure out!
But this is where we can help! We will teach you how our environment is stacked against us, why the food we eat can either be our friend or foe and why motivation is so overrate and discipline is equally underrated.
We will also help you identify why you’ve failed in the past, how to overcome these failures and what you need to be doing to make this a long-term change!
Coaching Program Requirements
- You must be willing to join a gym or have somewhere you can weight train from
- You must be willing to film yourself exercising to gain feedback on your technique
- You must have some basic IT skills as this is an online program
- You must be ready for change
- You need to recognise that this is a permanent change and not a quick fix
- You must be willing to be disciplined and focused
